DO YOU CLIMB THE TREE? The Tree Saddle uses the same set up as a fixed position stand…But, you only need one Tree Saddle to hunt as many trees as you would like to prepare! You can’t get more cost effective than that! We recommend that you use whatever means you’re most comfortable with climbing because that will be the safest way for you to climb. You can prepare your fixed position stands, ladders, tripods, trees for your climbers, ground blinds, etc. Use your Tree Saddle to cover the rest of the woods effectively in the most stealth manner. It gives you the RAZOR’S EDGE in the woods yielding an Element of Surprise that will cause you to be more successful in the field. Not only are you creating more “First Time Hunted” areas by staying stealthy mobile through the season; but, you’re also keeping your conventional hunting areas fresher since you’re not wearing those areas out like a revolving door.

Most veteran Tree Saddle users have seeked out light weight portable climbing tools such as climbing sticks, Rapid rails, buck steps, telescopic climbing poles, gaffs, and Step Belt Setups by Trophyline USA. Of course, screw in steps and rope on steps are also options depending on what you can use in the area you hunt. The Step Belt may be used to keep those steps separated and quiet; and the belt helps distribute the weight around your body making it much easier to navigate through the field quietly. Whatever method you choose to climb the tree, always utilize the integrated Safety Assist Strap/Climbing Belt to stay secure as you ascend and descend.

IS IT COMFORTABLE? DOES THE TREE SADDLE CUT OFF THE CIRCULATION IN YOUR LEGS?  The Tree Saddle cradles your seat like a hammock and actually PROMOTES CIRCULATION; the leg straps are NOT Tight! This is one of the key features of the Tree Saddle that contributes to its ALL DAY COMFORT. You can make minute position changes by simple weight shifts from left to right leg, right to left leg, knee to knee, both legs, both knees and many combinations. With a pair of KneeSavers you’ll find yourself making even fewer position changes since you won’t feel the pressure on your feet even in rubber boots. Since it promotes circulation, you’ll find that you will also stay a lot warmer in cold climate hunting. Use a Tree Saddle and pair of KneeSavers. Climb up, hang up your bow, gun or crossbow, cradle your hands in your lap with your knees bent to the tree and lay your head down on the Safety Belt strap in front of you to sleep safely and soundly until daylight! This is also a great resting position during your hunt so you can stay fresh, alert and rested.

DOESN’T THE TREE AND THE STRAPS GET IN THE WAY OF YOUR SHOOTING? Bow Hunting: The Tree Saddle creates a unique, patented system that uses the hunter’s body weight as a counter balance and the tree as a natural cover. Always keep the bow on your shooting side (left side if you’re a right handed shooter; right side, if you’re a left handed shooter). When you get ready to shoot, place the balls of your feet on your platform so you can pivot with your toes clearing the tree. For shots around the tree (Power, Drop, and Stealth Shots) lead into your shot with your upper body, bending your knees into the tree and using your feet and knees as leverage points; the patented interlocking loops on the Tree Saddle automatically glide into the appropriate position to keep your body squared up and your shots rock solid. When taking shots behind you (The Round About Shot), make sure you’re on the balls of your feet so your toes will clear the tree, pivot into shot position turning your entre body smoothly into the shot with your body squared up. The interlocking lops glide with you as you turn to make a rock solid shot in perfect form at the perfect shooting angle at an unsuspecting target. There is no strap; and there’s not a cooler feeling in the world of archery hunting than when you take this shot with DEADLY ACCURACY.

Firearms & Crossbow Hunting: The Tree Saddle and tree provide an integrated rest for shooting. You can steady your shot against the tree. You can’t get more steady than that when hunting out of a tree. When shooting away from the tree, anchor your arm on the strap or in the V created by the straps between your body and the tree; bend the knee at the back of the shot and anchor your knee and the front of that chin against the tree to further anchor a rock solid shot.

CAN YOU STAND WITH YOUR BACK TO THE TREE? This is something you’ve become accustomed to doing in conventional tree stands; so we understand why you ask. The answer to that question is a few more questions you need to ask yourself. With a Tree Saddle which is TMA Certified as a Fall Arrest System, you have a tree stand and safety harness in one that provides you with 1) the natural cover of the tree so you won’t get busted like you do when you’re standing out in front of the tree like a sitting duck; 2) you GAIN FULL RANGE SHOOTING (360 degree shooting at any angle while the animal is still there); and 3) you ELIMINATE the possibility of an impact drop associated with conventional safety harnesses which leads to most injuries caused by conventional safety harnesses. So, why is it that you want to have your back to the tree?
If you’re considering a Tree Saddle, you’re looking for a UNIQUE tool that gives you a new advantage in the field. The Tree Saddle is a logical, common sense approach to what hunters really have to deal with in the field and give you the opportunity to adopt to those real conditions while maintaining your safety and giving you a stealth advantage to become the ultimate predator. All of this adds up to greater success in the field from hunts with enhanced comfort and safety. That is our mission. Isn’t this what you’re looking for and WHY you want the Tree Saddle?

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT? All models and all sizes have a 375 lb weight capacity
(TMA Certified Capacity limit of 375 lbs).

CAN TWO PEOPLE BE IN THE SAME TREE? As long as the tree is healthy & can hold the weight, the Tree Saddle is great for a hunter to coach a child or a partner through a hunt or for videographer to utilize more effectively to videotape hunts. With both parties in their own Tree Saddle, both parties can maneuver around the tree something like dance partners, staying quietly in the appropriate positions with total control of movement without any risk of falling. Videographers Love It for the fresh and safe angles they can get with the camera. The added benefit is, the shooter typically is NOT waiting for the cameraman to get on the animal any more.
